What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Some are needed for a site to work. Others track what you do, often for advertising or analytics. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) require websites to tell you which cookies they use and to ask for consent before setting any that are not strictly necessary.
Cookies set by this website
This website sets no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies of its own. If you are simply reading the site, our own pages set no cookies on your device.
The site runs on WordPress. WordPress sets functional cookies only when someone logs in to manage the site, which applies to the site's administrators and not to visitors. These cookies keep the administrator signed in and remember their screen settings. They are strictly necessary for that purpose and are not used to track anyone. They usually have names beginning with:
- wordpress_logged_in_ and wordpress_sec_: keep a logged-in administrator signed in
- wordpress_test_cookie: checks that the browser accepts cookies at login
- wp-settings-: remember an administrator's dashboard settings
Third-party content on this website
Two parts of the site are provided by other organisations.
- The enquiry form. The quote and contact form is embedded in a frame from our CRM provider, at mortaro-crm-production.up.railway.app. The form provider receives and processes the information you submit in the form, on our behalf. Any cookies or storage it uses are set by that provider, within its own frame, and are covered by our privacy policy as far as your data is concerned.
- The service area map. The maps on our contact and areas pages use map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Loading the tiles means your browser requests images from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address in the normal way. The map tiles set no tracking cookies.
If you contact us through WhatsApp, that happens in the WhatsApp app or website, under WhatsApp's own terms and cookie policy.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Each browser explains how in its help pages. Blocking cookies will not stop you reading this website. It may stop the embedded form from working as expected, in which case you can contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp instead.
Changes to this policy
If we add anything that sets cookies, such as analytics, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
